A male Tiger along the lake shore in Ranthambhore National Park, India. This two year old male (the son of Riddhi, a beautiful Tiger) in Ranthambhore National Park, India had spent the previous 30 minutes wandering around in this lake. He moved to the edge of the water and disappeared into some trees overhanging the lake. He then emerged and walked along the water’s edge clambering over tree roots and trunks. Just before he hauled himself out of the water, he chewed on some vegetation. He headed off in the direction of another lake in which several Sambhar Deer were feasting on water plants. I was reminded of watching jaguars wading along the rivers in Brazil’s Pantanal! Would he hunt? A male Tiger along the lake shore is a sight to behold.
