Noor, a majestic female tiger. We had been exploring the territory of the legendary tigress, Noor in Ranthambhore National park. After about one hour of searching we found her lying in the open. What a fabulous sight. She lay there for a while and then set off. As soon as she stood the Langur Monkeys began alarm calling and did so as she made her way up the valley. She stopped for a quick drink and continued up the valley and we lost sight of her. So nice to see Noor, a majestic female tiger prowling around her jungle territory.
Noor’s name means “glow” to reflect her beauty. She is the daughter of the Sultanpur female T-13 and has a notable lineage, being a descendant of the famous tigress Machali. Noor is seventeen years old and had her last litter in 2022 but sadly none of these cubs survived.
