A young Spirit Bear arrives on the scene. The 2017 trip was the third I had made to this wonderful location. Its pristine waters host an abundance of species. Perhaps the most important and oft forgotten is the salmon. The annual salmon run supports this diverse ecosystem and without it this would be a much poorer place for both people and wildlife. Here one can experience some of the marvels of nature. These include bubblenet feeding Humpback Whales, the majestic Brown Bears and their cubs fishing and, of course, the elusive Spirit Bear. On this trip, we saw these and more besides!
We had been watching a Spirit Bear called Ma’ah. Then, down river, another younger Spirit Bear emerged.
