Brown Lemurs of Madagascar. These medium sized lemurs with their long tail put on a good display in Anjajavy, Madagascar. They are active during the day and to an extent during the hours of darkness. They spend long periods in the forest canopy feeding. They live in groups of typically 5-9 individuals with adult males and females plus a range of the generations. Fascinating to watch these very endearing lemurs.
It is great shame that these iconic animals are threatened by human activity. Their rarity and uniqueness makes them worth protecting.
