A charming encounter with a Lioness and her tiny cub. As we watched this pride of lions in Mala Mala, South Africa, we noticed that a lioness was accompanied by a tiny cub. This lioness had four very young cubs about 5-6 weeks old. But on this occasion we found her with just one. The whereabouts of the other cubs was unclear but most likely it had been left at the den. It was lovely to see the interaction between them and to see her pick up the cub and take it away from the rest of the pride.
