A huge male lion early in the morning. We had seen this impressive male lion (called Osupat) one year ago in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy in Kenya’s Maasai Mara but he was not in very good shape. His brother had been killed so he was on his own and getting rather old. However, this year he had formed a strong coalition with three other males who were either his sons or those of his deceased brother. Osupat had regained his strength and now was a very impressive and huge male Lion. We had found him in lovely early morning light. He wandered around walking through a nice rocky terrain before disappearing over the hill. A great encounter with a huge male lion early in the morning was a nice way start to the day.
