A lovely female leopard on a windy day. In Kenya’s Maasai Mara we had been searching for this female leopard for some time. This was a challenge because the extensive recent rains had caused the grass to grow very tall. We eventually found her hunkered down from the stiff breeze blowing across the Mara North Conservancy. After a good scratch, she set off stopping to view her territory from a useful mound. Then she vanished into the tall grass. Finding such a lovely female leopard on a windy amongst the long grass had been worth the effort.
