A pack of wild dogs harass Oryx

A pack of wild dogs harass Oryx. In the Tswalu Game Reserve located in the Kalahari Desert of South Africa, we had been following this pack of wild dogs for some time. As heavy rain began the dogs spotted some Oryx in the distance and they set off at speed to confront these very impressive antelopes. In reality, this pack was of little threat to these adult Oryx because the pack was made up of an alpha pair (both injured from previous encounters) plus eight one year old puppies and it was the puppies which were harassing the antelope. In effect they were just having fun and the Oryx mostly ignored the playful puppies. Nevertheless it was very entertaining watching a pack of wild dogs harass Oryx despite the pouring rain. It was a different story when this pack found a young Oryx later in the trip – film to come soon!
