Amorous Leopards. Amorous leopards or should it be just an amorous female Leopard? As the sun was setting in Laikipia, Kenya we came across this Leopard couple up on a rock. The female was very keen to get on and mate but her male partner was less than interested. Try as she might the male was not engaging. He even seemed to get rather annoyed by her amorous intent. We watched these antics for more than 30 minutes but the female Leopard was not successful in tempting the male into action. Maybe he was waiting for darkness to fall or us to leave before acting. We will never know!
