Black Leopard surveys her territory. The day was drawing to a close near Laikipia Wilderness Camp, Kenya as we searched for Giza, the now famous Black Leopard of the area. Giza, which in Swahili means “darkness” is a most appropriate name for a black leopard. We had almost given up hope when she was spotted up an a hillside looking out across the land she calls home. She was being bothered by flies. A lovely view of this gorgeous big cat. She slinked off into the undergrowth and we headed back to camp.
