Cheetahs before the storm. A remarkable feature of our one month visit to the Maasai Mara, Kenya in January and February 2024 was the astonishing amount of rain we had given this is meant to be the hot and dry season. At times we got very wet indeed. This particular evening was no different. However, before that happened we had this fantastic encounter with this cheetah and her four six month old cubs. The building clouds were remarkably dark yet the sun picked out these beautiful big cats. Watching these cheetahs before the storm soaked us was a treat.
