Early morning with the Enkoyanai Lion pride. It was a chilly morning in the Maasai Mara. We came across the Enkoyanai Lion pride early in the morning just as the sun was rising. In the distance we could hear another Lion roaring. Before the light improved, the male Lion with this pride moved away heading towards the other roaring Lion. It was now possible to start filming. At this moment the male began to roar and this caused all of the females to join in. The cubs came running to join the lionesses before they all moved away. Quite a spectacle! We moved off to follow the male Lion as he headed towards the other roaring Lion. As we caught up with him he began to roar again. We followed him as the distant roaring got closer and closer. We had no idea what to expect when these two Lions were to meet. A fight, possibly? But no. These were two brothers and they greeted each other in the most endearing way. An exciting start to our day: enjoying our early morning with the Enkoyanai Lion pride.
