Fighting male Wildebeest. Very close to Kicheche Valley Camp In Kenya’s Maasai Mara we came upon a rather dispersed herd of Wildebeest. Two males were have a major fight. The clashing of heads and the clattering of their horns made for quite a spectacle. Other wildebeest wandered around almost oblivious to the battle being fought. Thompson’s Gazelles continued their grazing unperturbed by these fighting male Wildebeest. The fight continued for more than ten minutes before the two contestants ran off. A great and unusual safari encounter.
