Hyenas, Vultures and Jackals squabble over a Grant’s Gazelle carcas. As we passed a small herd of Grant’s Gazelles we noticed that a male was lying down. On our return we could see vultures, Hyenas and jackals squabbling over a carcass. It seemed likely that the gazelle had died a natural death. As always there is much yipping and yapping as the hyenas squabble amongst themselves and with the jackals and vultures trying to get some bits of food. Eventually one of the hyenas ran off with the remains of the carcass and settled down to eat what was left. It is always fun to watch the antics of hyenas on a carcass!
