Leopard and her cub clamber around in a tree. In Kenya’s Maasai Mara, we found this female Leopard (Sankuet) high up in a tree moving what was left of an Impala kill higher up into the tree. Once it was safely stashed she began to look around for her six month old male cub. Soon he appeared on the scene, glanced up at the tree and then climbed up to join his mother. They did not eat but clambered around in the canopy before coming down the tree and heading off. One can only marvel at their strength, agility and poise as this Leopard and her cub clamber around in a tree. These big cats are certainly at ease in their arboreal environment. Filming this scene was a big challenge since getting the exposure right as they moved around in dark parts of the tree and then emerged into very bright open areas was very difficult.
