Leopard and her young son feast on an Impala high in a tree. We had spent a few days watching this Leopard and her six month old cub in the Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. Having located a leopard kill in a tree it can often ensure reliable sightings of these big cats. This was definitely the case with this kill. We saw Sankuet and her cub over a couple of days around or up in the tree. They were certainly enjoying the fruits of Sankuet’s hunting capability. The thunder continued to echo around us and the rain was relentless. Nevertheless, watching a leopard and her young son feast on an Impala high in a tree was a thrill. The agility and strength of these big cats as they effortlessly move around high up in a tree is aa marvel.
