Leopard calling for and finding her cub. We found this female Leopard (Sankuet) very early in the morning when it was barely light in the Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. Initially she was lying down but as the light improved she sat up. She began to call for her six month old male cub. After several calls, and when the light was golden, she set off. We had some superb views as she walked towards us. She headed off in to some bushes where she met up with the cub. After a lovely greeting they headed deeper into the bushes. A special treat to find a Leopard calling for and finding her cub just as the morning light became good. We were to have several more wonderful encounters with this beautiful big cat and her delightful cub.
