Leopard on a kill. This is probably the most famous leopard in the Maasai mara – Fig. She had caught a Topi calf and had eaten most of it. The carcass had been kept high up in a tree but had fallen out. Fig rescued the carcass to prevent the hyenas in the area from taking it. She then takes the carcass back up the tree. It was raining hard. As she came down from the tree the light was fading fast.
