Lion plays rough with a very young cub. Early one morning as the light was getting very nice we came across the Enkoyanai pride of Lions in Olare Motorogi Conservancy in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. We found eight adults, one a female with a very small cub (not much over a month of age). Part of the pride headed off towards a giraffe in the distance leaving a group of three females, five subadults and the cub. One of the sub adults played with the cub and although that play looked very rough the cub kept coming back for more! Amazing to watch as a Lion plays rough with a very young cub. One has to love lions when they are active and playful.
