Lionesses and cubs. These lionesses and seven month old cubs of the Big Marsh pride at Ndutu, Tanzania were enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun. The cubs were active and feeding. Such a lovely and peaceful encounter. At the time of filming, the Big Marsh pride comprised one large male, four females, six subadults and thirteen cubs some of three months and others of seven months old. The male has his work cut out since four young males had arrived in the area from the Ngorongoro Crater and would soon start to threaten his position.
