Magnificent male lion in the rain. It had been raining hard in Naboisho Conservancy, Maasai Mara, Kenya. In the late evening we came across this male lion sitting in the open and looking rather miserable as the rain tumbled down. A head shake removed a lot of the accumulated water. He yawned and then rolled around in the wet grass. The rest of the pride were nearby but out of view. Some of the pride began to roar and the sound was rather impressive. With another head shake, the male lion got up, stretched and headed off roaring as he left the scene, his breath caught in the chilly air. A rather impressive view of this magnificent male lion in the rain.
