Playful Lion cubs pester a big pride male. The agenda for this afternoon’s game drive was – Lions! We would try to find the enormous breakaway Ilkisiausiau pride which is more than 40+ strong (two males Bully and Limpy, about 19 females and about 23 cubs of various ages ranging from 3-6 months). We eventually found part of the pride playing near some bushes. One of the pride males, Limpy, was with them. The Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya’s Maasai Mara is certainly a good place to see these big cats. We were able to spend a good period of time observing the antics of the pride. The cubs were very active playing with one another and Limpy. They could not resist playing with his tail which caused much growling and snarling from this impressive male lion. Eventually, it was all too much for Limpy and he wandered off leaving the cubs to amuse themselves. Terrific fun watching playful Lion cubs pester a big pride male.
