With the Elephants. Tarangire National Park, Tanzania is well known for its high density of Elephants. This family group were all around us. It was a delight to see the young calves; one of them was suckling. These gentle giants paid us scant regard as they made their way along.
It is deplorable that these magnificent animals are under threat. African elephants are listed as vulnerable by the IUCN. It is unforgivable that one of the main threats to them is poaching for their ivory tusks. Ivory belongs only on Elephants!!
