A pile of African Wild Dog puppies. As we drove along the dried bed of Sand River, Mala Mala, South Africa we came across a pack of African Wild dogs. The adults were scattered around the river bed but the puppies were collected together on a raised part of the river bed. They then heard some of the remaining pack arrive to join the other adults so they all sat up and were very attentive. The sun was setting making the scene quite magical. These African Wild Dogs are highly endangered and need our protection. Certainly see a pile of African Wild Dog pupies gives hope for this particular pack.
