Cheetah suckling her very young cubs. As the sun was setting over the Kitirua Conservancy in Kenya’s Amboseli region, we came across this cheetah with her four, four month old cubs. They were hiding in bushes and difficult to see. We stayed with them hoping they wold move before the light failed. We were handsomely rewarded as the mother got up and wandered in to an open space. The cubs were not far behind. The mother lay down and the cubs began to play. Then three of her cubs joined her and began to suckle. A Cheetah suckling her very young cubs was a spectacular end to our safari drive. As the sunset we headed back to Tortillas camp and a refreshing beer.
