Sparring Grizzly Bears in the river. These two sub-adult Grizzly Bears had been fishing for salmon for sometime in Pavlof (or Pavlov) Harbour in South East Alaska. As they headed out of the river estuary, they had a brief session of sparring. The splashing that sparring causes when it takes place in the river is great to watch. Sparring Grizzly Bears in the river certainly makes for entertaining viewing.
