A Leopard and her young cub play in a tree. Early in the morning in Mala Mala, South Africa, the mist had just lifted when we saw a female Leopard in a tree. Then to our surprise we spotted her 8 month old cub approaching the tree. The cub effortlessly climbed the tree to join its mother. They then began clambering around in the tree. It was quite incredible how they were both able to climb and balance on very slender branches of the tree until the cub almost fell. But they are very adept tree climbers. All ended well with the mother jumping down from the tree and leaving her cub in safety high in the tree. Such good fun watching a leopard and her young cub play in a tree.
