A morning in the life of a Leopard. This is Fig. Probably the most well known Leopard in the Maasai Mara. We found her early one morning sitting on the river back opposite to where she had a kill in a tree. We thought it highly likely that she would cross the river to eat more of the Grant’s Gazelle. So we sat and waited! After a few hours she made her move and leapt gracefully and effortlessly across the river without getting her paws damp. She sat proudly on a fallen tree for a short while before climbing the tree and eating for at least one hour. After cleaning herself she made her way down the tree and did more grooming. We left her in peace as she was about to snooze for the rest of the day. A real privilege to spend a morning in the life of a Leopard.
