A six-month old male Leopard cub settles down for the night. For some time we had been following a female leopard (Sankuet) and her six-month old male cub and the sun was beginning to set in the Naboisho Conservancy in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. The mother left her cub near a lugga and set off for night’s hunting, leaving the cub behind. He would spend the night keeping a low profile in the lugga until reunited with his mother in the morning. He climbed down into the lugga, having a stretch as he did so. Having found a suitable resting place, he looked around and gave three big yawns. The light was fading and it was time to leave as a six-month old male leopard cub settles down for the night whilst his mother is on the lookout for their next meal.
