River Otter in Yellowstone National Park. We had been scanning the Yellowstone River in the Hayden Valley, Yellowstone National Park for a few days looking for River Otters. We had seen a few tracks but no sign of these elusive animals. Suddenly a River Otter popped its head out of a hole in the ice and emerged into full view. Having attended to its toilet, it disappeared under the ice and was not seen again. A brief but wonderful view of a River Otter in Yellowstone National Park in the USA. The Hayden Valley was a winter wonderland and the silence was magical.
