Three male lions meet up early in the morning. Early one morning as we drove across the open plain in the Naboisho Conservancy of Kenya’s Maasai mara, we saw three male lions in the distance. It was the Lemek boys! They had just met up after their night time patrols and set about reinforcing the bonds which make this such a powerful coalition. Their interaction along with their growling was such a treat. All the time they were watched by Topi on the horizon. One can hear them snorting along with some distant ZebraWatching three male lions meet up in the early morning is certainly a great way to start the day. We left them as they rested together.
