Hyenas and vultures on a topi carcass – Maasai Mara 2024

Hyenas and vultures on a topi carcass.  We left Kicheche Bush Camp early one morning and found a pride of lions on the move. In the distance we could see hyenas and vultures on a topi carcass. The lions had dispatched the topi and what was left was the target for hyenas and vultures. The Maasai Mara, Kenya is an amazing place to witness the wonders of the Kenyan bush. As the hyenas tore at the carcass the vultures got closer and closer until they felt confident to snatch a morsel or two. Finally, the hyenas dragged away the carcass and we set off in search of the lions.
